Redbooth Delivers Artificial-Intelligence-Based Predictive Task Management Capabilities

PALO ALTO, CA, May 8, 2018
Machine-Learning Powers Breakthroughs in Task and Project Management with “Smart Redbooth”

Redbooth, a leader in online task and project management software, today delivered the first project management solution that incorporates market-ready, practical, artificial-intelligence-powered capabilities. The company’s new Smart Redbooth machine learning technology powers predictive task assignment and task scheduling, enabling users to maximize project resources with maximum efficiency. Smart Redbooth technology is built into the latest Redbooth product release.

“In the fast-paced environments that our customers work in, they need to do more with less. Organizing your work and being efficient are the keys to increasing productivity,” said Ryan Crosbie, director of product for Redbooth. “Our Smart Redbooth technology provides predictive capabilities that help customers accurately assign task owners, complete projects on time, and reduce busywork.”

The Redbooth platform has been used by over 600,000 teams to work on more than 1.8 million projects. Utilizing machine-learning algorithms, Redbooth analyzed the accumulated store of task and project data to find patterns and commonalities that reduce or eliminate unnecessary or duplicated effort.  Smart Redbooth can now predict the appropriate resources to assign to a task and estimate the approximate date on which tasks should be completed.

The latest version of the Redbooth solution also features a number of other enhancements, including:

  • Workspace Redesign: The redesigned workspace organizes information to better match the way people work, enabling them to see project and task data at a glance.

  • Task Detail Enhancements: Enhancements to task detail information allow users not only to prioritize and categorize tasks using almost any criteria but also to search and sort tasks to see task status immediately.
  • Workspace Activity Feed: The Activity Feed, a collapsible panel, allows users to see activity that has occurred in the workspace, such as who has been invited to join the team and what tasks have been created or completed. Workspace members can also send and receive instant messages in the feed, which is more efficient and appropriate than email for quick questions and answers.

Accelerating Customer Traction

Redbooth also reports that since its merger last September with collaboration software provider AeroFS, the company has seen three of the four highest signup months in company history, and the highest month in company history for new paying customers. Redbooth has also achieved a 30% reduction in churn during that time.

Smart Redbooth and other enhancements to the Redbooth platform are immediately available to users at https://redbooth.com.

Redwood City – November 1, 2016
On The Heels of Launching The First Enterprise App For Apple TV, Redbooth Continues To Expand Options For Mobile Work, Liberating Knowledge Workers From the Tyranny of Their Desks

Redbooth, the intuitive task and project management platform for teams, today announced that its Android app now supports Google’s Android for Work program. Security-conscious companies with employees using their own mobile devices can now choose a platform that their employees enjoy using — and that their IT departments can successfully administer. Redbooth’s app for Android for Work is paving the way for increased adoption and more secure management of company information accessed via mobile devices.

“We see great potential in the Android for Work platform, along with a true opportunity to make the lives of our customers easier,” said Ben Falk, Redbooth’s Director of Mobile. “We’ve taken the first big step in enhancing our app so it can be part of this exciting program. We look forward to continuing to partner with Google as this program enhances the mobile experience for our Android customers.”

The Redbooth app for Android for Work is a friendly, streamlined experience that includes kanban view for to-do lists as well as the ability to easily assign tasks and deadlines, leave comments, and resolve tasks on the go. The app taps in directly to Redbooth’s cloud-based task and project management platform, which can be used by a team or an entire company.

“Redbooth’s Android for Work app is a simple yet powerful productivity application that capitalizes on the best principles of material design,” Falk said. “It’s a fun, best-in-class productivity tool for any Android user — and at the same time it’s incredibly straightforward for long-time Redbooth customers. “As a collaboration app designed specifically for Apple TV, we’re delivering a groundbreaking, streamlined experience that allows you to skip the screen-sharing, ditch the dongles and start planning quickly and beautifully in the living room or the board room,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO for Redbooth. “Combined with Redbooth’s apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, this affords maximum flexibility when editing tasks, adding comments and staying connected to your team’s work.”

The initial version of Redbooth for Apple TV includes some of the following capabilities:

  • Integrated Content: Get started quickly with Redbooth’s free project templates or use your Redbooth account to easily view and update your existing workspaces. Users can access and view a variety of useful content, including application training, best practices and productivity tips – all available for on-screen viewing.

Redbooth Brings Powerful Task and Project Management to Cisco Spark Through New Bot Integration

Las Vegas – July 11, 2016
Chat Bots and Natural Language Processing Extends Cisco Spark Messaging Experience and Enhances Team Collaboration and Productivity

Today at Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference, Redbooth, the all-in-one project management and collaboration platform, announced an integration with Cisco Spark that transforms the way teams interact and run their projects. Leveraging the Api.ai platform and Cisco Spark APIs, users can employ intuitive natural language commands to manage Redbooth-powered projects and tasks directly from Cisco Spark messaging streams. Redbooth will be demonstrating this intuitive and simple user experience at Cisco Live booth C9.

Through this unique integration of the leading project management and team collaboration applications, users can seamlessly move from planning work to real-time collaboration. Using the Redbooth bot available in a Cisco Spark room, team members can ask an array of questions of their workspace such as “what’s happening today?”, “show me what my team is working on,” and “what’s urgent?” Cisco Spark’s messaging and meeting experience can then be extended to drive meaningful work outcomes, with real-time communications triggered by project status and follow-up activities tracked by Redbooth.

“As we’ve seen in the consumer market with the increasing popularity of Apple’s Siri and other artificial intelligence-powered products, natural language interaction with apps represents one of the next frontiers in how we manage work and collaborate with others,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO for Redbooth. “Through this integration, customers will literally be able to ask a wide range questions to their Redbooth project in Cisco Spark rooms using natural language. We’re excited about the game changing potential this type of innovation will bring to the way teams plan, manage and complete work in a collaboration-centric environment.”

Cisco Spark and Redbooth Boost Team Productivity Together

Redwood City, California – May 2, 2016
New Integration Brings Actionable Task and Project Management to the Cisco Spark Team Collaboration Experience

Redbooth, the all-in-one project management and collaboration platform to get work done, today announced a new integration with Cisco Spark to unite task-centric Redbooth workspaces and communications-centric Cisco Spark rooms. Through this integration, users can now work simultaneously in both Redbooth and Cisco Spark to seamlessly communicate and collaborate with a clear focus on productively completing work.

The linkage of Cisco Spark and Redbooth enables teams to flexibly manage their work and collaborate in the way that fits their business. Redbooth’s powerful task management visibility can be customized in a variety of views, including standard task lists, Kanban boards and Gantt charts via the newly introduced Timeline view. Updates to tasks tracked by Redbooth are then automatically added to the associated Cisco Spark room. This means that important information can drop right into the place where teams are already sharing messages, using voice and voice communications, and launching meetings.

“Redbooth already makes everything actionable, trackable, and reportable, and with this new integration, you bring that level of accountability right into your team communications in Cisco Spark,” said Jordi Romero, VP Business Development & Platform for Redbooth. “Redbooth takes the Cisco Spark collaboration experience to a new level of productivity where teams are able to track work in a way that is visible and transparent, and drive to productive outcomes faster.”

“Cisco Spark is transforming how teams collaborate, bringing them together in a place that makes it easy to keep people and work connected, said Jason Goecke, General Manager, Tropo Business Unit at Cisco. “Further customizing and differentiating this experience, our open APIs enable business critical apps to integrate with Cisco Spark. As a solution that also enhances the productivity of teams, we are excited to add Redbooth to our growing ecosystem of apps that extend the value of Cisco Spark.”

The Redbooth integration with Cisco Spark is available to Redbooth users immediately and can be activated via their user profile settings. New users can try all of Redbooth’s powerful task and project management capabilities, as well as the Cisco Spark integration, via a free trial at https://redbooth.com.

Taking Project Management to the Next Level, Redbooth Redefines Gantt Charts

Designed To Transform The Way Teams Manage Their Work, Redbooth’s New Timeline View Reimagines Gantt Charts With Remarkably Intuitive, User-Friendly Interface

Taking Project Management to the Next Level, Redbooth Redefines Gantt Charts

Redwood City, Calif. – April 19, 2016
Designed To Transform The Way Teams Manage Their Work, Redbooth’s New Timeline View Reimagines Gantt Charts With Remarkably Intuitive, User-Friendly Interface

Redbooth, the all-in-one project management and collaboration platform to get work done, today introduced its new Timeline view, a powerful planning and work management solution within the Redbooth platform that utilizes Gantt charts to help teams simply and easily visualize project progress at a glance.

Built from the ground up, the new Timeline view incorporated customer feedback at every stage of development, ensuring that it was tailored to the unique needs of everyday users, not just professional project managers. Historically, the traditional solution for visual project planning has been Microsoft Project, which many users find to be complex and hard to use. Alternatively, lightweight planning and task management tools including Asana, Basecamp, Trello and spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel lack integrated Gantt reporting. Redbooth’s Timeline view is designed for business users, incorporates the precise Gantt features that teams require without overwhelming them, and is much easier to use and get immediate value from.

Redbooth’s Timeline view builds and updates Gantt charts automatically for projects, enabling teams to immediately visualize a project from start to finish. Dependencies, built-in accountability, and drag-and-drop editing make it simple and convenient for everyone.

“Everyone at our company has been really excited about using Redbooth’s new Timeline view to create a streamlined visual representation of our work,” said Pete Soyer, Senior R&D manager for Happy Family Brands, which specializes in organic products for babies, toddlers, and beyond and has been twice recognized as America’s fastest-growing organic food company by Inc. Magazine.

“Timeline view gives us all an easy way to go to one spot and see the status of a project — much easier than reviewing a sheet with a list of dates on it,” he said. “I use it for tracking new product development from the idea phase all the way to the post-launch review. Seeing how one task is going to impact another gives me a much better picture of the overall process.”

“Across the board, our customers agreed that while Gantt charts were the best way to visualize project progress and status, they could also become cumbersome,” said Jon Sonnenschein, chief operating officer at Redbooth. “We listened closely to them, and the result is the Timeline view: a simplified yet powerful Gantt chart solution that every member of a team can use. The Timeline view works smoothly with other favorite Redbooth features — including task lists, shared workspaces, deadlines, task delegation, and reporting — that are familiar to our customers.”

With Redbooth’s Timeline view, team members can determine, at a glance, the status of a project at any given point in time; zoom in for a closer look to discover any tasks in danger of slipping behind; make required adjustments; and view the potential impact of late tasks for the rest of the project.

The Timeline view also empowers team members to:

  • Plan out an entire project or client engagement in one place
  • Address bottlenecks early and correct them
  • Ensure work across a team is completed on-schedule
  • Easily share progress reports with all teams including C-level, board members, management team or clients
  • View completed tasks for a comprehensive perspective of what has been accomplished

To get started with Redbooth, including the new Timeline view, visit https://redbooth.com.

Slack joins a growing collection of the most popular collaboration and productivity apps to be integrated into the Redbooth platform, including Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project and Zendesk.

“Social technologies ranging from chat applications like Slack to comprehensive platforms like Redbooth are growing in popularity among distributed teams worldwide,” said Vanessa Shaw, founder of a future of work consulting firm, Human Side of Tech. “Redbooth’s Slack integration empowers teams to collaborate better, and ultimately become more agile as they can seamlessly leverage the best qualities of both platforms, which creates a very powerful productivity solution.”

Many Redbooth customers who favor the collaboration platform for its comprehensive offering of robust task management, project management and collaboration features find that a sizeable portion of their teams also use Slack for instant messaging. Redbooth’s integration of Slack brings previously dispersed conversations between teams using both platforms into a centralized context, making them actionable and manageable. The integration enables teams to:

The Redbooth-Slack combination bodes well for an increasing number of enterprises seeking productivity and collaboration solutions to drive real business results for 2016 and beyond.

“As both platforms are leading solutions in the collaboration and productivity space, Redbooth’s integration of Slack will enhance collaboration processes already in play,” said Dan Schoenbaum, Redbooth’s CEO. “Redbooth will continue to look for ways to play well with the latest and most popular applications so that we continue to be recognized as the single platform to bring together disparate collaboration tools, simplify the management of mission-critical projects and enable agile teams to get more done.”

Redbooth Adds New Microsoft Outlook Native Client Integration

The All-In-One Collaboration And Communication Platform Now Allows Users To Turn Emails Into Actionable Tasks And Schedule High-Definition Video Conferences From Within Outlook

Redbooth Adds New Microsoft Outlook Native Client Integration

Redwood City, Calif. – December 9, 2015
The All-In-One Collaboration And Communication Platform Now Allows Users To Turn Emails Into Actionable Tasks And Schedule High-Definition Video Conferences From Within Outlook

Redbooth, the all-in-one workstream collaboration and communications platform that makes teams more productive and accountable, today announced it has added a new native client application for integrating with Microsoft Outlook. This latest Redbooth native integration expands upon the platform’s existing capability, which allows users to respond to and communicate with a Redbooth workspace via email. The integration further simplifies the process of turning emails into actionable tasks that can be assigned with a single click from within Outlook. The new Outlook integration also enables users to schedule and launch High-Definition video conferences from within Outlook.

Grupo Romeu, a leading global logistics company with more than 40 offices spanning four continents, is one of more than 4,000 businesses worldwide utilizing Redbooth to drive meaningful increases in productivity. Management level and project-oriented staff within several of the company’s largest business units benefit from Redbooth’s seamless integration with Outlook, including freight forwarder TIBA, cold storage provider Friopuerto and IT services provider GRM.

“Redbooth is a fantastic solution for lessening inbox clutter as I no longer have to rely on Outlook as my sole to-do list task management tool,” said Javier Romeu, TIBA’s deputy CEO. “Important action items and deadlines that might have previously slipped through the cracks given our deluge of daily emails can now immediately be turned into organized, easily actionable tasks that my managers and I can track from assignment to completion.”

Redbooth’s new Outlook native client integration improves on the company’s previously available plug-in option and is compatible with Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016 for Windows. As a native client application using Microsoft’s ClickOnce technology, the end user no longer needs to worry about maintenance, as the application will automatically update with each new upgrade of the Redbooth platform. The new Outlook native client integration is available to Redbooth’s Business tier customers and also can be implemented with Redbooth’s Private Cloud solution, which installs the full platform securely behind the customer’s firewall.

Redbooth’s native Outlook client integration is the latest in the collaboration platform’s collective goal to integrate seamlessly with popular Microsoft productivity applications installed on-premise or delivered via Office 365. In July, the platform rolled out a new, more intuitive user interface and added integrations with SharePoint and OneDrive. In October, Redbooth released a native Windows desktop client application. Redbooth Business also integrates with MS Project to enable simultaneous syncing of tasks between a customer’s collaboration platform and project management software. The new Outlook native client also provides Redbooth’s development team with a foundation upon which to continue building out additional Outlook functionality.

“Although plenty of business chat apps aim to be replacements for email in the enterprise, reality dictates that collaboration platforms will need to embrace an organization’s email solution of choice if it is to become an effective, actionable solution,” said Redbooth CEO, Dan Schoenbaum. “We recognize that email plays an indelible role in interoffice communications and have committed to creating solutions for our customers that successfully merge Redbooth’s powerful set of collaboration capabilities with popular email applications like Outlook.”

San Francisco – September 28, 2015
Redbooth’s Pre-Formatted Workflow Templates For Common Tasks And Processes In A Variety Of Disciplines Help Box Customers Collaborate More Effectively And Efficiently

Redbooth, the all-in-one workstream collaboration and communications platform that makes teams more productive and accountable, today announced at BoxWorks 2015 the release of new workflow templates designed to help customers immediately experience meaningful business results. Redbooth’s new workflow templates now make assigning and managing tasks based on content stored in the cloud—with popular services like Box and Google Drive—immediately actionable by embedding best-practices into repeatable workflows.

Initially, Redbooth is offering more than a dozen pre-formatted templates to easily set up digital workspaces for a variety of the most common disciplines in which improved collaboration can help teams increase productivity and accountability. The company expects to develop additional templates as customers continue to provide feedback. Currently available templates target common workflow processes in Information Technology, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources and Corporate Transactions functions.

“Redbooth’s extensive communication and collaboration capabilities are essential to effectively managing our workflow for venture financing,” said Mark White, partner at corporate, technology and international law firm White Summers Caffee & James, LLP. “Using pre-defined workflow templates helps to ensure we never miss a critical step and guarantees consistency in delivering quality service, resulting in more time to manage client work and less time required to organize it.”

Redbooth’s new workflow templates are based on customer feedback the company has received about the on-boarding process and daily usage as provided by managers at the more than 6,000 organizations around the world utilizing the award-winning collaboration platform. From the feedback, best-practices and commonly shared requirements across a variety of disciplines materialized, and providing pre-formatted digital workspaces to make those findings of value to all Redbooth customers became a priority for the company.

“Redbooth’s full set of unified communication modalities and our intuitive workstream collaboration capabilities make it a powerful solution for organizations who may already be using Box to store files and looking for ways to accelerate their pace of business,” said Redbooth CEO, Dan Schoenbaum. “Our new workflow templates can now have our customer teams experiencing real meaningful results on their first day of using Redbooth.”

With more than 900,000 registered users worldwide, Redbooth was named a 2015 Cool Vendor in Unified Communications by Gartner and was ranked the 10th fastest-growing private software company in America on the 2015 Inc. 5000 (89th overall). The Redbooth-Evernote partnership announcement follows an eventful 2015 for the unified communications and collaboration platform company. Redbooth Launches Unified Communications Channel Program with Top ShoreTel Resellers – Appoints Head of Channel Sales

Redwood City, Calif. – September 18, 2015
Xtelesis And Comworx Are First ShoreTel Resellers To Join Redbooth’s New UC Channel Program; Company Hires Former Polycom Regional Channel Manager Marcy Kawadler To Lead The Program.

Redbooth, the all-in-one workstream collaboration and communications platform that makes teams more productive and accountable, today announced the launch of the company’s new Unified Communications (UC) channel partner program. Redbooth also announced the appointment of Marcy Kawadler, former channel manager with Polycom and Avaya, to head the company’s new program. The inaugural partners in Redbooth’s UC channel program include leading ShoreTel resellers Xtelesis and Comworx.

In July, Redbooth announced it had added click-to-call voice to its comprehensive mix of communication modalities and collaboration tools to create the industry’s first seamless integration of real-time business messaging, file sharing, powerful search, and in-stream task management centralized into an intuitive virtual workspace. The addition of voice and other recent enhancements such as integration with Microsoft SharePoint® and OneDrive® further establishes Redbooth’s unified collaboration platform as being robust and mature enough to be resold by reputable outside channel partners.

Redbooth was recently ranked No. 10 among software companies (89th overall) on the 2015 Inc. 5000 list of “America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies” and was named by Gartner earlier this year as a Cool Vendor in Unified Communications. The company has more than 900,000 registered users at more than 6,000 organizations worldwide.

“Adding Redbooth to Xtelesis’ solutions offerings allows us to deepen relationships with our customers and help them achieve material differences for their organizations,” said Scott Strochak, Xtelesis president and CEO. “Redbooth’s comprehensive cloud-based platform is highly complementary to our existing solutions and further helps our customers take full advantage of UC technologies to work more efficiently and effectively.”

To lead its new UC channel program, Redbooth appointed Marcy Kawadler as senior director of channel sales. Kawadler comes to Redbooth from Polycom, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM), where she was a channel business manager for the global communications and collaboration solutions provider. She previously has held channel and sales management roles with Avaya, Carousel Industries, NetVersant and Nortel Networks.

“Redbooth enthusiastically welcomes this showing of support from such highly-trusted advisors in the UC solutions reseller arena,” said Redbooth CEO Dan Schoenbaum. “In return, we are confident in placing what we anticipate will be a fast-growing number of channel partners into Marcy’s experienced and capable hands as she ensures that their customers benefit from Redbooth’s reliable cloud-based unified communication and collaboration solutions.”

Redbooth Launches Desktop Client Applications for Windows, Mac OS and Linux in Beta

Redwood City, Calif. – August 24, 2015
Native Persistent Presence Ensures Teams Can Get More Work Done On The Most Current Version Of Redbooth’s Unified Collaboration Platform, While Adhering To Company IT Policies And Eliminating Outdated Browser Issues

Redbooth, the all-in-one workstream collaboration and communications platform that makes teams more productive and accountable, today announced the Beta launch of the company’s new desktop client applications for the Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems. The availability of a persistent desktop presence follows last month’s announcement of Redbooth’s adding click-to-call voice connections and integrations with Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive to make it the industry’s first seamless integration of real-time enterprise messaging, file sharing, powerful search, in-stream task management, high-definition video conferencing and quality voice, centralized into an intuitive virtual workspace.

“Redbooth has become so central to my team’s productivity that I have a 60-inch monitor in my office permanently locked to the Redbooth dashboard that gives me a clear view of our multiple multi-million dollar projects,” said Benjamin Diamond, director of planning, engineering and improvements for Centers Health Care’s more than 25 facilities across New York and New Jersey. “Being able to have persistent access to Redbooth now saves us even more time as we can access workspaces immediately upon startup and we don’t have to worry about issues with older browsers.”

Key feature benefits of Redbooth’s desktop client application include:

  • As a native application, Redbooth will start upon boot-up and remain running even while computer is in sleep or hibernation mode
Redbooth’s desktop client allows customers to be more productive by moving work out of web browsers and work in full-screen mode, away from distractions like non-work related content and advertisements
  • Persistent presence allows for immediate notifications to bring users who frequently switch between multiple applications back into the workstream, such as the extensive use of Illustrator and Photoshop in creative industries
  • Automatically updates with the latest version of Redbooth to free up IT management resources
  • Allows for a responsive, real-time application experience that may not be supported by older browser versions mandated by many corporate IT policies

“Redbooth desktop is in direct response to requests from our customers to help them become even more productive in their pursuit of working smarter,” said Redbooth CEO Dan Schoenbaum. “We anticipate a brief Beta period and look forward to rolling out Redbooth desktop very soon to all current and new customers who are using Redbooth to fundamentally transform the way they work for the better.”

NEW YORK, August 12, 2015
The Unified Collaboration Platform Company Also Ranks No. 10 Among Software Companies on the 2015 Inc. 5000 With Three-Year Sales Growth of 3,596 Percent

Inc. magazine today ranked Redbooth No. 89 on its 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. With a three-year sales growth of 3,596 percent, the company is also the 10th highest ranked software company on this year’s list. Redbooth, the all-in-one workstream collaboration and communications platform that makes teams more productive and accountable, was founded in 2008 (formerly Teambox), has more than 900,000 registered users at more than 6,000 organizations, and has raised more than $17 million in venture funding.

“As our customers know, Redbooth is so much more than just ‘chat for business,’” said Redbooth CEO, Dan Schoenbaum. “Our platform actually empowers teams to work smarter with a full set of unified communications and collaboration capabilities, all within a highly intuitive digital workspace. Making the Inc. 5000 is further proof of Redbooth’s commitment to fundamentally changing the way we get work done for the better.”

The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.

The 2015 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands August 18 to September 22) is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a mind-boggling three-year growth of 490%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $205 billion, generating 647,000 jobs over the past three years. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

“The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership. In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “You have to remember that the average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly six-fold since 2012. Business owners don’t achieve that kind of success by accident.”

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held from October 21 through 23, 2015 in Orlando. Speakers include some of the greatest entrepreneurs of this and past generations, such as Marcus Lemonis, host of the CNBC show “The Profit,” Robert Herjavec, one of the main “sharks” on ABC-TV’s “Shark Tank,” KIND Founder and CEO Daniel Lubetzky, and Co-Founder of Goodshop.com JJ Ramberg.

The New Redbooth Revolutionizes How Teams Work with First Virtual Workspace Combining Real-Time Voice, and Business Chat

Redwood City, Calif. – July 22, 2015
Latest Release Includes One-Click Voice Calls, SharePoint® And OneDrive® Integrations, And a More Intuitive User Experience, Redesigned to Drive Team Engagement, Accountability And Breakthrough Productivity

Redbooth, the all-in-one workstream collaboration and communications platform that makes teams more productive and accountable, today announced the newest generation of its cloud-based solution. Redbooth now seamlessly integrates one-click voice connection with its chat, file sharing, search, task management capabilities, which are all centralized within intuitive virtual workspaces. Redbooth also now integrates with Microsoft SharePoint® Online (Office 365) and OneDrive® for Business, providing customers with even more flexibility to utilize Redbooth with their organization’s existing enterprise applications.

“Redbooth offers one of the more complete digital workspace services available today,” said Alan Pelz-Sharpe, research director for Social Business at 451 Research. “However, what really distinguishes Redbooth is its close alignment with the world of the Unified Communication vendors. Redbooth has taken the route of exploring and cementing partnerships here and essentially filling the gaps between traditional core communication technology that they provide with new social and collaboration features.”

According to a report from the McKinsey Global Institute, the average worker spends nearly 20 percent of their workweek searching for information and almost 30 percent of their time managing email. The globally respected management consulting firm strongly supports the use of emerging social technologies to raise the productivity of interaction workers by upwards of 20 to 25 percent. These latest upgrades to Redbooth’s comprehensive collaboration and communications platform further position the company as a leading innovator of team productivity solutions, with more than 900,000 registered users.

Benefits customers will experience with the latest version of Redbooth include:

  • The ability to seamlessly escalate from a chat session to voice by calling team members on their existing mobile and work phones with one-click voice connection from within Redbooth workspaces
  • Integration with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, allowing users to collaborate with their teams on important files using Microsoft Office 365 and organize company-wide information, people and projects in one place
  • A more intuitive, team-centric user experience, with shared virtual workspaces that are organized within a clean and engaging interface
  • An improved, richer messaging experience with the ability to add web links and documents that generate expansive previews, capture action items as they arise during team-wide online chat and turn them into tasks, and track task assignment, deadlines and completion—all without leaving the chat stream

“Before Redbooth, we saw way too many tasks fall through the cracks due to email’s inherent shortcomings,” said Joshua Moxon, marketing director for specialty coffee equipment supplier Prima Coffee Equipment. “Now we can quickly see who is responsible for what and ensure deadlines are being met, the importance of which cannot be overstated in a highly customer service-focused industry such as ours.”

Named by Gartner earlier this year as a Cool Vendor in Unified Communications, Redbooth has rapidly become the choice of agile, self-directed teams who want to gain competitive advantages by changing the way they work and becoming more productive. Redbooth’s intuitive user experience is not only engineered specifically to drive collaboration, but it also provides team managers with analytics to quickly and accurately track and measure the effectiveness of a team’s collaborations.

“We have yet to meet a customer who wasn’t drowning in email and experiencing poor accountability with traditional collaboration options,” said Redbooth CEO Dan Schoenbaum. “When they share feedback on how Redbooth has revolutionized the way their teams work, it gives us a sense of pride in knowing we’re helping them drive real meaningful results.”

Redbooth is available in two highly secure hosting options: As a cloud-based SaaS using SSL 256 bit encryption and hosted in PCL-, ISO- and SAS70-certified data centers; or the full platform can be deployed on premise and hosted behind firewalls with Redbooth Private Cloud for organizations with secure enterprise environments or strict data privacy requirements. Redbooth expects to begin rolling out its latest version to new and current customers immediately.

Redbooth Advances in the Enterprise with the Power of Seamless, Straightforward Collaboration and Communication to Easily Manage Global Agile Workforce

Redwood City, Calif. — April 27, 2015
Best of Interop Finalist and Gartner Cool Vendor Redbooth Introduces Collaboration Analytics and Offers Transparency and Accountability to Help Managers and Employees Monitor Progress with Real-Time Data Across Teams and Their Work

Redbooth, a leading real-time workplace collaboration and communication platform used by more than 6,000 companies worldwide, today announced at Interop Las Vegas the introduction of Redbooth Analytics. Based on today’s business appetite to gather more performance analytics, Redbooth Analytics will provide insights on the work of enterprise groups — ownership, overdue tasks, completion potential, and active work — that will aid in understanding how cross-functional teams are truly performing and identifying opportunities to improve productivity. With Redbooth’s latest secure enterprise solution, Private Cloud, and new integrations of Box Enterprise and Okta, teams are better equipped than ever to create a collaborative workspace that runs securely, efficiently and effectively. Redbooth is an Interop Las Vegas 2015 Best of Interop Awards Finalist in the Applications category, located at Booth 1250 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Redbooth Analytics collects and visualizes collaboration data, giving both managers and teams transparent insight on what is happening across tasks, projects and groups. In turn, this gives company leaders a better idea of how the company is operating, which teams are working efficiently, and which are falling behind.

“Enterprises are hungry for seamless integrations and extensive capabilities, as well as analytics and insights, to help better manage teams. The large global companies we work with, such as Cisco, eBay, GE, and Volkswagen, are already driving engagement and efficiency using Redbooth’s collaboration platform. We wanted to provide them with real-time insights that help both managers and teams optimize allocation of work and drive accountability and transparency,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO of Redbooth. “In conjunction with our latest integrations with Box Enterprise, OneLogin and Okta, it’s easier than ever for work to happen securely and efficiently right on Redbooth’s platform. We’re honored that Interop recognizes us as a finalist for the communication solutions we are bringing to the agile enterprise, and look forward to introducing a new view of real-time communication and collaboration to conference attendees.”

”We extend a big congratulations to Redbooth and all Best of Interop finalists on the success of their new products and positive impact on business efficiency,” said Interop General Manager Jennifer Jessup. “These are the types of advancements that define the future of IT, and we’re excited for Interop attendees to be able to experience them firsthand in the Expo.”

Analytics is available on Redbooth’s Business Plan, as well as the new Redbooth Private Cloud, an on-premise version of Redbooth’s platform that provides secure enterprise chat, user access provisioning, team collaboration, project management, and business application integration. Private Cloud is designed to meet the compliance, security, and data privacy requirements of large corporations and highly regulated industries, such as finance and healthcare. Since security and privacy are top-of-mind concerns for these companies, Private Cloud is built to work behind firewalls and is easy for IT managers to set up, with full control over installation, data storage and security.

New integrations with Box Enterprise and Okta mean Redbooth’s users can continue to collaborate in the most efficient way possible. By partnering with Box, a secure content-sharing platform, enterprises can customize content management features and tap into Box’s best-in-class visual experience of documents across mobile and web platforms. With this integration, enterprise IT leaders will have even greater capabilities to tailor the Redbooth platform to their particular work management style and needs, making deployment easier than ever.

Redbooth has partnered with Okta, an enterprise-grade identity management service, to offer high-strength security, audit capabilities, and identity management. This helps to ensure that Redbooth seamlessly integrates with enterprise applications while meeting corporate security standards.

The Best of Interop Awards recognizes exhibitors for innovation and technological advancements in nine technology categories. Award winners will be announced from Interop Las Vegas 2015, which takes place April 27-May 1 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Redbooth will demo Analytics at Booth #1250, and Redbooth Chief Evangelist David Carr, author of Social Collaboration for Dummies, will host a session titled “10 Keys to Collaboration for the Agile Enterprise” on Tuesday, April 28 at 2:30pm.

Redwood City, Calif. — April 22, 2015
Extensive Integration between Box and Redbooth Collaborative Team Workspaces Increases Enterprise Productivity

Redbooth, a leading real-time workplace collaboration and communication platform, today announced an enhanced integration with Box, enabling teams to securely manage and collaborate on content. The integration was highlighted in a keynote presentation at Box’s premier developer conference, Box Dev, which took place in San Francisco, California and attracted more than 1,500 developers and entrepreneurs.

With this integration, Redbooth now allows customers to replace native file storage and designate Box as the secure platform for all of their content, and maintain accordance with IT policies and regulations.

With the integration, developers and IT managers gain even greater freedom to tailor the Redbooth platform for specific collaboration, communication and work management styles and needs by:

  • Instantly migrating existing Redbooth documents to Box, without additional steps or processes;
  • Automatically creating Box folder structures corresponding to Redbooth team workspaces for a streamlined workflow;
  • Leverage Box’s user access and control features, facilitating their Redbooth deployment.

As a result of this joint effort, Redbooth is honored to be named a part of Box’s Elite Partner Program, bolstering its relationship with Box.

“At Redbooth, our goal is to empower enterprises with tools to create efficiency in addition to a seamless, intuitive user experience. Having full, native Box capabilities helps us accomplish that goal,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO of Redbooth. “We’re thrilled to be in partnership with Box, whose customer-first agility aligns with our mission.”

“At Box, we’re focused on powering a thriving ecosystem of developers to build products that transform the enterprise,” said Chris Yeh, senior vice president of Product and Platform at Box. “We’re thrilled to welcome new partners to the Box ecosystem and introduce new tools that make it incredibly easy to integrate on the Box platform and extend the value of our service to companies around the world.”

Joint customers are already experiencing the power of the integrated solution. “As an extremely flexible and agile platform, Redbooth is critical in allowing us to stay on top of multiple multimillion-dollar construction projects across 25 healthcare facilities,” said Benjamin Diamond, director of planning, engineering & improvements, Centers Health Care. “Box is similarly streamlined, focused, and simple to use. Box and Redbooth together are even better, and I look forward to seeing them continue to deepen their integration.”

Recently announced as a “Cool Vendor” in the Gartner “Cool Vendors in Unified Communications, 2015” report, Redbooth brings proven functionality and productivity to both its Cloud and on-premise ‘Private Cloud’ solutions, allowing for teams to engage using secure chat, screen sharing, HD video meetings, team collaboration and project management. This platform – used by more than 6,000 companies – significantly reduces inefficient email traffic between teams, and fosters greater work efficiency, accountability, and overall business agility across an enterprise. Box is the latest in a number of widely deployed enterprise applications that are tightly integrated with the Redbooth platform.

Redbooth’s Award-Winning Collaboration Platform Named as Gartner’s “Cool Vendor” in Unified Communications

Redwood City, Calif. — April 16, 2015
Gartner’s “Cool Vendors in Unified Communications, 2015” report focused on five major players, highlighting Redbooth for enhancing the collaboration experience between employees, and with clients, while accelerating innovations in video, workflow context and the workplace.

Redbooth, the real-time workplace collaboration and communication platform, announced that it has been named a “Cool Vendor” in the Gartner “Cool Vendors in Unified Communications, 2015” report, published on April 15, 2015.

This year, Gartner’s “Cool Vendors in Unified Communications, 2015” report focuses on major players who are enhancing the collaboration experience between employees, and with clients, while accelerating innovations in video, workflow context and the workplace. Redbooth is one of 5 companies honored with the distinction in the report for its real-time communication and collaboration platform that offers a visual representation of both ‘projects’ and a persistent team workspace, making it intuitive and easy to use.

“Company-wide collaboration drives progress and productivity. Without a strong collaboration infrastructure, key initiatives can falter and engagement diminishes. We work to empower enterprises to collaborate and communicate in a way that keeps teams focused and working together, regardless of geography or time zone,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO of Redbooth. “We’re honored to be recognized by Gartner, one of the world’s most respected technology research firms, as a Cool Vendor for innovating in the unified communications space.”

According to Gartner, Redbooth gives teams a way to manage and track their work in a customizable manner that drives accountability. Users can communicate with colleagues using context-specific conversations, enterprise chat, or built-in HD video conferencing. With integrations to applications like Box Enterprise, MS Project, Outlook, Sharepoint, Dropbox, Evernote, Okta, and others, companies can leverage their current technology and accelerate onboarding to Redbooth.

Recently, Redbooth announced their new Project Reports, which collect and create visualizations of work management data. The new reporting provides managers, team leaders, and other users with insight on performance and distribution of tasks. Ideal for fast-moving, self-directed teams, these reports make it easier to optimize the allocation of work, forecast more effectively, and prevent important aspects of a project from falling through the cracks.

To serve highly regulated industries like finance and healthcare, as well as security-minded organizations, Redbooth also recently released an on-premise version, Redbooth Private Cloud, that includes secure enterprise chat, user access provisioning, team collaboration workspaces, and business application integration. Installed by companies on their own hardware, it enables them to have a collaboration and communication solution while meeting the compliance, security, and data privacy requirements of highly regulated industries. Since security and privacy are top-of-mind concerns for these companies, Private Cloud is built to work behind firewalls and is easy for IT managers to set up, with full control over installation, data storage and security.

Redbooth Selected for Enterprise Connect’s Innovation Showcase Featuring New Breed of Unified Communications and Collaboration for Teams

Redwood City, Calif. — March 9, 2015
In Addition to Redbooth’s Award-Winning Cloud Collaboration Platform, Redbooth Introduces New ‘Private Cloud’ that Brings Unified Communication and Collaboration Behind the Enterprise Firewall; Cloud Convenience that Meets Data Privacy and Compliance Requirements

Redbooth, the real-time workplace collaboration and communication platform, today announces that the company has been selected to present its collaboration platform at the “Innovation Showcase” produced by Enterprise Connect – the leading conference in North America for enterprise communications and collaboration. Innovation Showcase is designed to expand thinking about Unified Communications, with a special focus this year on highlighting the leading solutions that promote, stimulate, and foster better team collaboration across organizations. Redbooth will share its award-winning collaboration solution that has been employed by more than 6,000 customers worldwide, creating competitive advantage and increasing business agility. This includes the new on-premise ‘Private Cloud,’ which brings the best of web-based collaboration capabilities and benefits behind the firewall for highly regulated industries. Enterprise Connect will take place March 16-19, 015 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida.

Redbooth brings proven functionality and productivity to both its Cloud and on-premise solutions, allowing for teams to engage using secure chat, screen sharing, HD video meetings, team collaboration, project management and business application integration, including Box Enterprise, Dropbox, Zendesk and Outlook. This platform significantly reduces inefficient email traffic between teams, and fosters greater work efficiency, accountability, and overall performance across departments and offices.

“Today, collaboration among teams of knowledge workers is perhaps the most critical element of innovation, performance, and overall success. The challenge has been empowering them to communicate and collaborate in a workplace that continues to become more dynamic and decentralized,” says Dan Schoenbaum, CEO of Redbooth. “We’re eager to showcase our new on-premise ‘Private Cloud,’ and demonstrate how all of the best features of Web-based collaboration, including chat, project management and business application integration, can now be brought behind their firewall, where they control the environment.”

Redbooth’s Private Cloud makes it simple for IT administrators to fully control installation, data storage, and security when run behind the firewall, ensuring full compliance with industry privacy and security policies. Redbooth Private Cloud can be installed on standard hypervisors from VMware, Red Hat, IBM, Oracle, VirtualBox, KVM/QEMU, Microsoft (HyperV) and Citrix (XenServer), and is pre-integrated with common enterprise directory servers to streamline deployment.

“We’ve seen some exciting web collaboration and unified communications come to market that give business managers and IT teams app envy – but very few are suitable for deployment in the enterprise environment,” notes Dave Michels, Director of the Enterprise Connect Innovation Showcase. “Redbooth has managed to take all the appeal of Cloud-based collaboration and put it behind the firewall, giving IT a way to own their data while meeting industry security compliances. We’re excited to see Redbooth’s latest, and the company’s take on the future of work.”

Redbooth will be at Booth #107 at the Innovation Showcase where they are sharing with attendees the latest integrations and features that will maximize productivity and communication among teams. For more information about Redbooth, including a demo, please visit: http://www.redbooth.com.

Redbooth Raises $11M Series B and Signs OEM Deal for CA Technologies to License Its Real-Time Enterprise Collaboration Platform

Redwood City, Calif. — November 18, 2014
Company Sees Market Share Grow as Enterprises Increasingly Displace High-Cost Legacy Applications Like Microsoft SharePoint and Disjointed SMB Point Solutions

Redbooth, the enterprise real-time collaboration software company, today announced it has secured an $11 million Series B round, bringing total funding to $17.5 million. Investment was led by Menlo Park-based VC firm Altpoint Ventures, and Avalon Ventures. Redbooth has gained significant traction with enterprise customers, including GE, Avis, US Airways, Dell, Warner Bros., Novartis, and more who seek the benefits of a single, integrated platform offering all applications required for teams to get work done. This includes a recent release of Redbooth enterprise chat which has contributed to a 6x increase in user engagement since its launch last month.

Redbooth has also signed an OEM agreement with CA Technologies to license Redbooth’s solutions to include as part of its product suites.

“Enterprises are demanding migration away from legacy applications as well as disjointed collections of SMB-oriented point solutions, which lack integration,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO of Redbooth. “Our success comes from customers who require secure, enterprise-grade solutions — especially as they displace SharePoint, due to lack of integration and flexibility coupled with high overhead and customization requirements.”

Redbooth is the only real-time platform for enterprise communication and collaboration accessible across desktop and mobile devices. Offering task management, 1:1 and team chat, screen sharing, file storage, and instant HD videoconferencing in one platform that is integrated with leading cloud applications, customers experience dramatically increased productivity as a result of using a single platform.

“While social media companies are now looking to enter the productivity space while it’s hot, Redbooth has already been a strong presence among enterprises, and is now poised to lead this rapidly growing market,” said Rich Levandov, from Avalon Ventures, whose investments include Zynga, Skycatch, Clouding, AeroFS, and Conjur. “We invested in Redbooth because of their maturity and vision for innovation, as they have leapfrogged over other more consumer-based options, and focus directly on the actual workflow and security needs of Fortune 500 companies.”

Redbooth’s collaboration platform integrates with existing cloud drives and leading business applications, such as Box, Dropbox, Zendesk, Evernote, Okta, and Microsoft products such as Office 365, MS-Project and Sharepoint – offering a single place for all team collaboration and communication.

“We are excited to enter into the enterprise collaboration market with a company that has proven its ability to gain traction with companies well known for leading their industries,” explained Vadim Tarasov, Managing Director at Altpoint Ventures. “With its current success and roadmap for innovation and growth, we feel that Redbooth is well positioned to continue to shape this space, and be a transformative force for the way companies improve their workflow.”

With this Series B investment, Redbooth will expand operations, development, sales channels, and support teams to broaden deployments of cloud and behind-the-firewall on-premise solutions among new and existing Fortune 500 clients.

Half a million teams from over 6,000 companies across 100 countries rely on Redbooth to get more work done every day. Redbooth Launches Industry’s First Integrated Chat for Team Collaboration Across Desktop and Mobile

Redwood City, Calif. — October 21, 2014
Coworkers Can Chat Within Tasks to Enable Unparalleled Productivity; iPad, iPhone and Android Integration Included

Redbooth, the real-time workplace collaboration and communication platform, today announced the launch of desktop and mobile business chat that is fully integrated with team and company workflow – a first among business collaboration suites. With new enterprise-grade chat functionality, Redbooth adds another channel of real-time communications to its existing instant HD video conferencing capability, vastly improving efficiency and productivity by enabling employees and teams to work together more easily, regardless of location. Redbooth chat is also available on iPad and iPhone, with a beta version for Android devices, bringing full platform functionality to mobile users.

Forrester predicts 43% of U.S. workers will work remotely or decentralized as part of their jobs in 2016, requiring them to rely further on online collaboration and project management software. As distributed and extended teams increasingly become the norm, Redbooth offers an integrated solution, focused on bringing together disparate systems–such as separate email, chat, video conferencing, screen share, and project management systems–into an all-in-one platform. With Redbooth chat, coworkers can quickly send a message within the context of a specific task, project, to a group or an individual; easily pull the full team together into a group chat, or set up persistent forums specific to teams or topics. The presence engine allows users to easily see when their coworkers are online, and initiate chat even to those who are on-the-go via their mobile devices. Employees who are not logged onto their desktops still receive email or app notifications alerting them to the messages they have missed—providing full, historical archives of the conversation to keep them in the loop on all project activities and discussions.

With most current productivity suites on the market, employees must toggle between multiple applications in order to collect information and connect with colleagues. Redbooth stands apart and ahead of the market by having the chat feature built seamlessly into its collaboration platform, enabling users to discuss and accomplish more within the context of the tasks at hand. It is especially useful when quick questions demand an immediate response from individuals or across entire teams. Redbooth found a 10x average increase in usage among the majority of teams, based on activity by over 150 companies during its beta testing period. Beta testers included leading organizations such as eBay, Hilton Hotels, Cisco and Society For Information Management, a consortium of over 4,600 CIO’s and VP’s of Corporate IT.

“Businesses thrive on the degree to which their teams efficiently and effectively collaborate, and their success on this front directly impacts revenues, profits and employee morale,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO of Redbooth. “Our new integrated chat further extends the value of Redbooth, making it the most productive collaboration solution on the market — facilitating instant, archivable communication within the same workspace where teams are actively working and collaborating.”

“Socializing’ business activities is a big business and is set to grow considerably in the coming years,” said Alan Pelz-Sharpe, Research Director for Social Business at 451 Research. “Redbooth does a good job of providing a highly usable alternative to traditional unified communications tools.”

The new Redbooth chat features:

  • Instant messaging & collaboration – start a conversation directly in your workspace, whether on a desktop or mobile device.
  • Intelligent notifications – easily see the presence of colleagues, and reach coworkers wherever they are, even if they’re out of the office
  • Persistent groups – topic or team-specific chat rooms that can be permanently open and archived
  • Support for all major mobile platforms — including iPad, iPhone and Android (beta)
  • Context-driven integration – fits seamlessly with the look and feel of Redbooth’s enterprise-grade, web-based collaboration platform

“The best thing about Redbooth chat is that it helps people communicate and concentrate on tasks in a more sprint-like manner,” said Steve Hufford, Chief Executive, Society of Information Management International.

Redbooth is available as a hosted SaaS for small and medium businesses, or on-premises for enterprises, scalable to meet team and company requirements. Redbooth clients currently include Cisco, eBay, Hilton, UNLV, Lucas Oil, among the 6000 companies who participated in the beta.

Redwood City, Calif. — Sept. 17, 2014
Time-to-resolution for End-user Challenges Significantly Improved — With Bottom-Line Impact — Through Redbooth’s Collaboration and Integration Platform on Zendesk

Redbooth, Redbooth today announced an integration with Zendesk, Inc., a leading cloud-based customer service platform, that is designed to drive customer satisfaction, particularly when satisfaction is at its most crucial apex: problem resolution time.

The enhanced Zendesk platform now leverages Redbooth’s deep integration and collaboration platform to successfully accelerate end-to-end problem initiation, collaboration, escalation and resolution through:

  • Simple, streamlined task management to help resolve tickets faster
  • Complete visibility on the status of escalated tickets
  • Enhanced communication with other teams via integrated chat and HD meetings
  • Comprehensive password management and document storage
  • Tracking task progress without leaving Zendesk

In today’s competitive world where the customer is in charge and switching costs are low, delivering great customer service is more important than ever. For example, speed-to-resolution can mean the difference not only between quarterly profits, but also whether a company stays in business. Customers demand responsive, quick-to-resolve action when problems arise, and companies need a smooth hand-off between customer input and back-end internal systems, people and processes in resolving those problems.

Zendesk is a leading customer service platform that brings organizations closer to their customers. Now, with this seamless Redbooth integration, customer problems are instantly escalated with a single click driving internal collaboration and speedy problem resolution. Importantly in this white-labeled integration, Zendesk customers who add this integration experience Redbooth’s benefits and deep value in the same Zendesk environment and look and feel to which they’re already accustomed — dramatically enhancing customer service, productivity and efficiency.

“Keeping existing customers happy is orders of magnitude cheaper than securing new ones, and this Redbooth partnership enables Zendesk customers to drive the highest levels of satisfaction at the most critical of times,” said Dan Schoenbaum, Redbooth CEO. “Zendesk handles the communication with the customer; Redbooth manages collaboration internally. Together, this is an extremely powerful integration with real, bottom-line impact.”

Fully robust API and self-service portal for developers rapidly accelerates integration process for customers and partners

Redbooth, the collaboration and communication company, today launched its first publicly available API, enabling customers and partners to easily leverage the platform in unlimited ways. Building on a history of productivity-enhancing integrations with dozens of technology companies such as Google, Box, Microsoft, Dropbox, Barracuda, and more, the API now enables companies to extend Redbooth into the enterprise in a way specifically tailored to their situation and needs.

Since the launch of the Redbooth product and the company rebranding in January, Redbooth continues to be adopted by large numbers of enterprise customers and SMBs, and it is these larger companies that see the most benefit from the API. Customers have expressed a wish to build custom applications on top of Redbooth, for both desktop and mobile, something easily achieved through Redbooth’s technology and platform-agnostic RESTful API.

Redbooth CEO Dan Schoenbaum commented that, “larger customers and partners have a strong need to integrate collaboration and communication activities with other technologies in their organization. The API makes it easy to unlock the value of existing technology investments and bring together co-workers and activities in a beautifully-designed UI.” Jordi Romero, VP of Business Development and Platform, added, “Redbooth’s API follows all the standards of REST HTTP APIs, delivering endpoints to manage tasks, conversations, projects, users, etc. There are now no limits on ways to enter data into Redbooth, visualize it in custom reports, or sync it with other services.”

Customers and partners can build apps for faster collaboration, integrate for a more connected environment leveraging internal workflows, and easily extract data to make smarter decisions. A self-service portal for developers has been launched in parallel, which provides a set of comprehensive, easy-to-use resources for anyone looking to extend Redbooth in as little as five minutes. During the development of the API, customers with early access have used the capability to integrate legacy SharePoint environments, transform data entered in website forms to Redbooth tasks, and build iOS apps that display critical project status information.

Availability

The API is available immediately. Visit the Getting Started section of the Redbooth developer portal for more information, or email api@redbooth.com. The API is also available for the Redbooth On-Premise product.

Redbooth (formerly Teambox) today announced a partnership with Barracuda Networks, Inc. (NYSE: CUDA) to integrate Barracuda’s Copy and SignNow within its unified collaboration platform for teams and companies.

Under the Teambox name, the award-winning platform has amassed more than 650,000 active users and thousands of paying customers, including many from the Fortune 100 and major organizations such as Cisco, Deutsche Telekom and Apple. Users have performed more than 30 million activities on the platform and usage has increased 2,500% in the last two years.

“Teambox was a name that got us where we are today, and we’re very proud of it, but it’s time to leave behind our team-oriented roots and embrace what the name Redbooth embodies — a scalable collaboration solution that fosters communication and productivity across large teams, global organizations and great distances,” said Redbooth CEO Dan Schoenbaum.

“Redbooth has been a huge asset for my team,” said Troy Hahn, IT Director at Auburn University. “We’re located all over the world, from Honduras to Liberia and back to the U.S., which means time zones are a major problem. Having a system that provides solid task lists and a great communication tool built in is truly heaven-sent.”

He added, “My non-tech staff needed no training in Redbooth, with most of them figuring out the features immediately. With the new interface, tasks are so much easier for me to see and understand on the dashboard. I can quickly see which project is overdue or has a problem.”

While much of Redbooth will feel “familiar, but even better” to current Teambox users, the new product represents an evolution of Redbooth’s commitment to strong file sharing capabilities, task management and collaboration in the cloud and on-premise.

New features in Redbooth include:

  • Dramatically-enhanced usability and performance designed for both SMB and Enterprise customers
  • Ability to add subtasks and detailed descriptions to better manage complex projects
  • Fully-integrated chat environment with presence awareness
  • Increased capacity for 100 HD video conference participants, addition of iPhone and iPad support for screen sharing with annotation, and real-time whiteboard collaboration on iPad
  • Executive dashboard and reporting capabilities as well as enhanced search tools
  • Integration with additional external storage and workflow tools
  • Simplified Chinese and Japanese languages to support the growing user base in Asia Pacific

Steve Hufford, CEO at the Society for Information Management said, “Redbooth is a critical tool for us in our day-to-day work, and we love the new version. It has made collaboration easier for the work that we do on behalf of the 4,600 CIOs and IT leaders that are part of our community. Given our mission, it’s important that we lead by example in the technology space, and Redbooth is a wonderful example of a solution IT decision-makers need to know about.”

“At Redbooth, we’re big believers in working smarter, but it takes more than thinking about it to make that happen. People need the right tools,” said Schoenbaum. “We created a suite of tools in Redbooth that address the collaboration and project management needs of large teams and organizations, and also smaller businesses.”

Teambox Introduces Gmail and Outlook Plugins

Redwood City, California — November 05, 2013
‘Inbox Zero’ Moves from Mythical Status to Reality

Teambox, the cloud-based company redefining collaboration and business communications, today announced the availability of Teambox plugins for Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.

Teambox for Outlook and Gmail adds task collaboration features to allow users to convert emails to tasks, access and create tasks from Outlook and Gmail, and access Teambox apps from within email.

“Email wasn’t designed as a task management system and has proven to be a less than ideal collaboration tool,” said Teambox CEO Dan Schoenbaum. “People spend countless hours reading, filing and searching within their email. With Teambox fully integrated with email, businesses and users can move to a better system that creates a more productive, collaborative environment.”

According to the Radicati Group research firm, more than 154.6 billion emails are expected to be sent daily by 2.31 billion email users in 2013. Schoenbaum added that the dream of productivity, combined with an empty email inbox is now a reality, “When was the last time your email inbox was empty? There’s now a way to reduce inbox hell while still having access to the important content needed to do your job.”

Whether it’s the new team member or employee, someone has received a long confusing forwarded message intended to provide history and background on a project. This method is ineffective and time consuming. By collaborating in Teambox,
anyone can be added to a group and quickly see all the group’s activity in one streamlined location.

With more than 600,000 users and 3,500 companies already using Teambox for file sharing, task management and collaboration, the company has clearly played an active role in delivering on the promise of collaboration in the cloud and on premise.

Teambox for Outlook can be downloaded from the Teambox website; Teambox for Gmail is available in the Chrome store.

This capability, offered on desktops, mobile devices and tablets, combined with Teambox’s robust collaboration platform, enables real-time, face-to-face communication through an easy-to-use interface at no additional cost.

As more companies leverage remote workers, the need for collaboration technology is growing at an unprecedented rate. Businesses understand that face-to-face communication is extremely important, driving demand for enterprise-grade solutions. Over 60 Prestigious Universities Across the Country Have Implemented Teambox to Communicate, Collaborate and Streamline Work Processes

Teambox, the cloud-based company redefining collaboration and business communications, today announced that more than 60 prestigious universities across the United States are implementing its cloud collaboration solution to help their communities of students, faculty and staff access, share and manage content from any device, anywhere.

Within the past year, Teambox has grown its business by over 400 percent, and has made significant strides in the education vertical. Some of the nation’s leading higher education institutions including Auburn University, Colgate University, Cornell University, Harvard University, Rice University, Stanford University, University of California Irvine and University of Michigan top this growing list of schools that have adopted the Teambox collaboration solution. Teambox has provided these well-established
educational institutions with a means to communicate, collaborate and streamline work processes in an efficient, effective manner.

Teambox is helping transform productivity for educational institutions with a single, cloud-based platform by adding a full suite of powerful collaboration solutions to best-of-breed tools like Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and Gmail to enable users to seamlessly move between projects to work more efficiently.

“At Western Wyoming Community College, we needed a platform to deliver our Problem-Based Learning nursing program in an online environment. This teaching methodology is highly interactive, and traditional learning management systems fell short
of our needs,” said David Bodily, assistant professor of nursing. “After vetting many groupware solutions, we found Teambox to be far and away the best fit for the intensive collaboration needs of our students. Teambox is integral to the learning of our students and we could not work as well as we do without it.”

In addition to bringing collaboration to file sharing vendors, Teambox features include tasks, notes, conversations, group chat, calendaring and Gantt charts. Teambox built an API that integrates with numerous solutions so users are able to easily migrate Web apps they currently know and love (such as Evernote, GoToMeeting, etc.) into the Teambox platform. Enabling users to customize their platform creates a comprehensive collaboration solution to meet everyone’s needs and makes it easier for users to get more done from any device, anywhere.

“We chose Teambox for its intuitive interface, mobile compatibility, efficient task management, project overview visualizations and ability to easily integrate with numerous other web-based applications vital to our workflow”, said Aaron Pompei, director of multimedia strategy and development, at Savannah College of Art and Design. “Teambox is the core application for coordination, communication and collaboration within our video production process for the Virtual Lecture Hall, a comprehensive educational video resource for students. Without a tool like Teambox, our ability to work in an agile manner wouldn’t be possible. This collaboration platform has been a core component supporting the Virtual Lecture Hall project and ensuring effective and efficient team work.”

Teambox, the cloud-based company redefining collaboration and business communications, today announced Teambox On- Premise, the only lightweight collaboration solution customers can host from behind their own firewall.

Teambox helps companies increase productivity through its easy-to-use platform for collaboration, task management and file sharing. These benefits appeal directly to the needs of larger companies and have fueled a 400 percent increase in Teambox’s revenue.

Many organizations are governed by strict regulatory compliance, security or data protection requirements and can’t leverage modern cloud-hosted services. For example, healthcare providers face HIPAA and financial institutions Sarbanes-Oxley. Regulations impact and can limit many, if not most technology decisions within these industries.

For these industries, Teambox On-Premise is the only collaboration platform giving customers complete control over their data and infrastructure and empowering endusers to communicate, coordinate and collaborate efficiently and effectively. Teambox
On-Premise is easy to implement and can be installed on existing hardware, behind the customer’s internet firewall.

Key Benefits

  • Meets internal security and compliance mandates
  • Adheres to data privacy and retention policies
  • Ensures control over SLAs (service level agreements)
  • Allows organizations to optimize hardware for business needs

Pricing and Availability

Available today, Teambox On-Premise pricing starts at $15 per seat per month, with a one-year minimum term.

Comments on the News

“As a company in the healthcare space, we are excited that Teambox On-Premise will make it easier to comply with HIPAA and data privacy standards, so we can include key patient and clinical data in our collaborations to improve care,” said Ken Coburn, CEO and medical director at Health Quality Partners (HQP). “Compliance and data privacy are critical to our business. Teambox On-Premise will make it possible for us to pass our security audits and keep our data behind our own firewall.”

“Working on a project with a large multi-national energy company, we had to find a Web-based collaboration solution that we could host internally,” said Shawn Stephens, systems consultant at GeoEnergy, Inc. “Teambox On-Premise has been a perfect fit for us.”

“As mobile security company, we want to have complete control over our infrastructure,” said Tyler Croy, engineer at Lookout Mobile Security. “Teambox On-Premise operates completely behind our firewall and is our antidote for ‘were you on that email thread?’ or ‘did you see that deck?’”

“Offering an on-premise option makes a great deal of sense, and helps to further differentiate Teambox in the collaboration market,” said Alan Pelz-Sharpe, research director of the content management and collaboration group at 451 Research. “Teambox On-Premise aims to provide a comprehensive collaboration solution for organizations facing strict regulatory compliance, security and data requirements.”

“The Teambox On-Premise solution offers a way for many organizations to quickly deploy within existing security practices, standards and infrastructure,” said Sean Sherman, renowned security and compliance expert. “The Teambox VM can be
completely contained and managed within the corporate enclave to assure the business maintains security and compliance controls to manage issues such as privacy rules, access controls, system monitoring and data location.”

Teambox + Box = Love

Palo Alto, California — December 18, 2012
New Teambox-Box Bundle Delivers Enterprise Collaboration

Teambox, the cloud-based company redefining collaboration and business communications, today announced the availability of a powerful new Teambox-Box bundle that offers global enterprise customers up to 15 gigabytes of free enterprise storage.

Due to the growing trend of consumerization of IT in the workplace, businesses are increasingly losing control and facing escalating security risks of data due to employees storing critical material in a variety of third-party services. Another key related business concern today is maintaining compliance. Teambox squarely addresses these industry data security and compliance problems with its new Teambox-Box bundle.

Some of the highlights of the new bundle include:

  • An exclusive offer to receive 15 gigabytes of free, secure storage per user from Box;
  • Auditing and usage reporting via Box to improve compliance;
  • Custom branded file storage so that organizations can offer their own branded collaboration platform using Teambox and Box;
  • Full, two-way file syncing between Teambox and Box;
  • Access and sharing of content from any device.

Email is no longer a viable option for efficient project management. Modern teams, whether they work out of the same building or thousands of miles away, require a streamlined means of group communications. The cloud enables today’s successful knowledge workers to quickly access and share content from any device, regardless of location.

Teambox offers a unified cloud platform for collaboration, communication and business applications that results in increased productivity and faster project completion times for teams. More than 150,000 businesses from around the world – from BP and the World Bank to Groupon, Southwest Airlines and University of Arizona – rely on Teambox as an essential part of their workflow.

EMI Music’s Global Team Increases Security, Improves Team Collaboration Productivity with Teambox-Box Bundle

Early adopters from around the world are taking full advantage of the new Teambox-Box bundle and experiencing strong benefits, including the global U.S.-U.K team of the popular British multinational music company, EMI Music. They are keeping collaboration and productivity high by using Teambox to manage key projects. According to Rebecca Brook, Catalogue Development Director at EMI Music, the other team collaboration tools they previously had in place – including email and Sharepoint – were not fluid enough, nor comprehensive enough for EMI Music’s fast-paced operation to be truly effective. What’s more, the other tools weren’t nearly as simple to use and intuitive as Teambox.

Like many companies today, EMI Music’s IT team also moved to ensure a higher security standard and recently implemented Box. EMI Music is reporting greater security of data and also more control and visibility of material due to versioning features with the Teambox-Box bundle.

Pricing and Availability

The new Teambox-Box bundle is available now and for all customers. There is no cost for up to five users, five projects and/or 15 gigabytes of Box storage. Beyond this, pricing starts at $5 per user, per month with unlimited storage. Discounts are offered for annual and two year subscriptions and for large teams.

“With the consumerization of IT, we’re seeing a trend of more and more customer employees storing their company files on unsecured networks. Teambox is addressing this trend by offering free secure storage from Box. Now, companies not only have unmatched team collaboration, but the confidence of accessing and sharing content from any device, any where and securely,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO for Teambox.

“Box and Teambox are working together to offer a secure enterprise collaboration platform that enables businesses to effectively share and manage information across teams and organizations from any device or location. Our APIs make it incredibly easy for developers and third-party applications to ingrate with Box and provide end users with an amazing suite of services that further business productivity,” said Chris Yeh, VP of Platform at Box.

“Due to the nature of our business, we do a tremendous amount of collaborating across teams. Our marketing, design, coding, and sales all work closely together. With Teambox, our company can stay fully connected on projects in real-time and in a very streamlined manner. Teambox offers us an excellent interface and management features, and is incredibly easy to use. Using Box with Teambox is an added bonus for us as we can now also meet the security standards our IT department requires for storage and secure file sharing, bringing us even greater control over our content,” said Rachel Valosik, Director of eCommerce for Griffin Technology, a rapidly growing company who offers over 800 products for mobile devices, including the popular Crayola line.

“We use Teambox to manage our business here at Society for Information Management, a network of thousands of CIOs, and VP’s of IT spread across the country. Early on we faced the challenge of organizing a remote network with a wide array of interconnected programs and needed a collaboration solution that was simple and intuitive. Teambox answered the call, we feel it’s the most complete team collaboration tool out there. Given our technical member base, security and compliance were growing concerns. We’re early adopters and we recently added the Teambox-Box bundle to our solutions package and we are quite pleased with the results,” said Steve Hufford, CEO of Society for Information Management.

“We’ve been using Teambox successfully for the past year to manage the substantial collaboration required to deliver quality information management solutions to the Department of Family and Medicine and others at the University of Arizona. The addition of secure storage from Box helps to address concerns of information security and privacy, and opens the doors to using Teambox for many new types of projects throughout the department,” said Steve Machtley, Director, FCM Informatics Group at the University of Arizona, Family & Community Medicine.

Teambox 4 Platform

Palo Alto, California — August 07, 2012
Teambox delivers industry’s only collaboration platform that brings Notes, Group Chat and Tasks to millions of Dropbox, Box and Google Docs customers

Teambox, the cloud-based company redefining collaboration and business communications, today announced the release of Teambox 4. This new platform aggregates best-of-breed tools, such as Box, Dropbox, Google
Docs and Gmail, to help companies better manage tasks, communicate across teams and share files, all from a single location. Teambox combines single point collaboration, communication and business applications into one easy-to-use platform, enabling
organizations of any size to get more done, faster and with better accuracy.

Changing business needs and social factors are driving organizations to work differently. As a result, this new reality has left small- to medium-sized businesses, though large enterprise organizations, struggling to pay for and maintain heavyweight enterprise solutions and disparate collaboration point solutions. Teambox 4 is a unique collaboration platform addressing this new landscape. It is enabling organizations to integrate file-sharing services and Web-based applications, including Salesforce.com and Evernote, and customize business applications with tools, such as chat, tasks and project management. With the addition of these full-featured capabilities, Teambox 4 is the industry’s only collaboration “dashboard” transforming business communication.

File Sharing Integration

Teams worldwide already use file management applications to share, discuss and iterate all types of stored files. Teambox is the first vendor to bring collaboration to millions of Box, Dropbox and Google Docs customers by providing chat, discussions and notes in a single, easy-to-use platform.

Additionally, Teambox has created a Gmail plug-in for Google Chrome. This new plug-in enables end users to run Teambox inside of Gmail to view activity and add tasks, all within the comfort of a user’s inbox.

Teambox 4 New Features

  • Teambox Notes – Similar to Evernote, but designed for large teams, Teambox Notes delivers a drag-and-drop interface that can be used to take notes, instantly collaborate, get aligned and share information, without the clutter or overhead of email.
  • Customized Application Integration – Teambox 4 is built with an internal API, enabling users to import any Web-based application into Teambox. With this new feature, Teambox now offers a single, cohesive platform for any company to run their entire business. Many customers have integrated Salesforce.com, GotoMeeting and other key software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications into Teambox for a single “business dashboard”.
  • Integrated Group Chat – This key feature allows end users to quickly create conversations between teams to assign tasks and due dates to projects enabling real-time collaboration.
  • Enhanced User Experience – Teambox 4 includes several enhancements, including a new UI, redesigned infrastructure and an updated tasks section to increase the overall user experience.

Comments on the News

“There has been a huge paradigm shift in our industry; our customers were fed up with the massive, lengthy implementations required by Sharepoint and other antiquated solutions. With the “consumerization of IT”, business users are selecting and rapidly
adopting their own collaboration software,” said Dan Schoenbaum, CEO of Teambox.

“We are proud to bring our customers the industry’s first team collaboration platform that integrates tools, such as Dropbox, Box, Google Docs and Gmail, all centralized into one solution. Teambox helps businesses get started in seconds and get work done faster and easier, while saving our customers time and money.”

“We evaluated over 20 business collaboration tools, including SharePoint, Huddle, Asana and Basecamp, and found Teambox to be the most intuitive and comprehensive platform available,” stated Jason Gombos, Sharepoint Administrator for Kelly Services.
“Teambox goes beyond a ‘tool,’ bringing together all of the business applications we need in one centralized location. With Teambox, we get more done and with better accuracy and efficiency.”

“Teambox is a phenomenal collaboration platform,” stated Doug Monohan, CEO of Mobilezapp. “It combines the power of email, chat and telephone into one easy-to-use online solution. Quite frankly, I do not know how we’d run our business without
Teambox.”

“We tried Asana and other collaboration tools, but those products could not bring together the information we needed to work better and smarter,” stated Rachel Valosik, director of eCommerce for Griffin Technology. “Teambox provides a much broader set of collaboration applications making collaboration, file management and team discussions very easy for our team. And unlike other offerings, it is so easy to use.”

Pricing and Availability

Teambox 4 is available now. There is no cost for up to five users, five projects and/or five gigabytes. Beyond this, pricing starts at $5 per user, per month with unlimited storage. Discounts are offered for annual and two year subscriptions and for large teams.
