Office Valentine’s Day Ideas: Treat Your Team
The office often provides employees with more than a place for work, but a place to share trials and tribulations, laughter and tears and colleagues become like a second family.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, we wanted to share a few office Valentine’s Day ideas on how to spread the love this year and extend appreciation to your fellow colleagues.
Homemade Treats
The fastest way to your colleague’s heart is through their stomach. This Valentine’s Day, bring in a signature dish to the office. Whether it is a full meal or small bite, nothing says “thank you” like homemade goodies. Plus, it gives you the opportunity to display your culinary skills, and simultaneously show appreciation.
Candy Grams
Who doesn’t enjoy a little candy now and again? Get to work a bit early and distribute candy around the office via candy grams.
Handmade Valentines
This year forgo Hallmark and opt to make your own valentines from scratch to showcase your creativity. Your colleagues will be much more appreciative, and if you are lucky, this gesture may be placed on a wall or desk for memories. For virtual teams working all over the world, an ecard works well too.
Whether you use one of these ideas, or have something special up your sleeve, make sure you put in the effort to spread the love to your colleagues this year. Expressing appreciation helps strengthen bonds in the office and raise team morale. Productivity is always higher with a positive work environment.
