Add and Mention Followers in Tasks

Being able to add and mention followers in a task keeps your colleagues in the loop on a task’s progress. Add or mention them by following the steps below:

How to Add Followers

  1. Open up a task.
  2. Click on the watcher menu, marked with the icon of two profiles.
  3. Enter the user’s name or select from the list available.
  4. Click on the box to the right and it will turn blue.
  5. Click the blue Done button. If you do not do this, your changes won’t save.

How to Mention Followers
Another option is to @mention a colleague in the task description or a comment on the task. Mentioning someone with @username in a task they are not a part of will automatically add that user to the followers list of that particular task.

To grab the attention of all users in your organization, write @all in any task description or comment. You can also do the same in workspace chat.

How to Remove Followers
If you have added the wrong colleague to a task, or if you don’t want someone to follow a task any longer, here is how to remove them:

  1. Open up a task.
  2. Click on the watcher menu, marked with the icon of two profiles.
  3. Check off the box next to the person’s name, so that it is no longer blue.
  4. Click the blue Done button. If you don’t do this, your changes won’t save.
