Custom SSL Certificates (On Premise)

Fall 2016 update: Thank you for your interest in Redbooth Private Cloud. While we continue to support current Private Cloud customers, we are no longer taking on new Private Cloud customers. Find out more about Redbooth's standard cloud security ».

By default Redbooth Private Cloud uses a self-signed SSL certificate once you enable SSL. Certain browsers will complain about your site not being secure. To avoid this warning, you need to purchase an SSL certificate.

Note: You will also be required to purchase a CA-signed SSL certificate if you wish to use our mobile apps.

To install your own certificate click “SSL” under “Advanced Configuration”, paste in the certificate and private key in the form provided and click “Save”.

Note: If you were also provided with the CA’s certificate then concatenate that to the certificate for your domain and paste it into the form.

The form will then be validated and on successful validation, you will be notified to restart the web server “Nginx”. Once “Nginx” has been restarted, Redbooth Private Cloud will force access via https and redirect all requests to the secure protocol.
